This event welcomes our attendees that are underrepresented minorities in tech; women, people of color, LGBTQA+, and people with disabilities. Please join us to connect and share experiences.
Who can attend?
Underrepresented minorities in tech: women, people of color, LGBTQA+, and people with disabilities
Is this event open to allies?
No. Allies are incredibly important to further diversity in tech and the world, however, at this time, we’ve chosen to limit attendance to underrepresented minorities in tech, to provide this community a dedicated space to share their unique experiences & perspectives.
Here are other ways that allies can support diversity in tech while at OSS:
- Participate in the Diversity Empowerment Summit
- Seek out and engage diverse attendees at OSS
How to Register:
Please add the Better Together Diversity Social to your current Open Source Summit Registration.

About the Better Together Diversity Social
On the heels of the success of the Women in Open Source lunch, which we’ve hosted at Open Source Summit for a number of years, our new Better Together Diversity Social offers the opportunity for all underrepresented minorities (including race, gender, sexual orientation and disability) in attendance at the event to join together to build connections to carry through the event and beyond. Our hope is that this event will help to continue to increase the diversity both at the event as well as in the open source community as time goes on.
