Dear {Name},

I’d like to attend the upcoming Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference Europe taking place October 28 – 30, 2019 in Lyon, France. I’ve researched many conferences – and this is THE conference to attend for developers, sysadmins, devops professionals, architects, and community leadership professionals that want to expand their skills, solve technical issues with the best and brightest in the community, and learn/collaborate within the open source ecosystems.

Over 2,500 of the most talented individuals in the industry gather together for this event – it’s like a pop-up think tank!

Here’s how I envision my attendance at Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference Europe strengthening our company:

  • Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference Europe 2019 connect the open source ecosystem under one roof. OSS covers cornerstone open source technologies; helps ecosystem leaders to navigate open source transformation with the Diversity Empowerment Summit and tracks on business and compliance; and delves into the newest technologies and latest trends touching open source, including networking, cloud-native, edge computing, AI and much more. ELC is the premier vendor-neutral technical conference where developers working on embedded Linux and industrial IoT products and deployments gather for education and collaboration, paving the way for innovation.
  • The infamous “hallway track” at Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference Europe will allow me to meet the top technical minds in the ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.

You can learn more about the conference and view last year’s keynotes and other videos here.

If I register before August 15, 2019, the fee is only $800. Included in the registration fee is access to all keynotes and sessions, some co-located events, access to the sponsor showcase, hallway tracks and lounges, continental breakfast, and morning and afternoon breaks. It also includes entrance to the evening events, including the onsite reception, all attendee reception, and other networking events.

I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned, and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I hope we can make this opportunity work.

Thanks,
{Your Name}
