Diversity Scholarship

The Linux Foundation’s diversity scholarship program provides support to those from traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized groups in the technology and/or open source communities (including, but not limited to: persons identifying as LGBTQ+, women, persons of color, and/or persons with disabilities) who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend Linux Foundation events for financial reasons.

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of need and impact. Selection will be made by an assembled group of reviewers who will assess each applicant’s request. Scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary registration pass.

Please note, travel expenses are not covered under this scholarship and are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. To apply for travel funding, please visit https://events19.linuxfoundation.org/travel-request/request.

Eligibility
Applicants must be from a traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized group in the technology and/or open source communities including, but not limited to: persons identifying as LGBTQ+, women, persons of color and/or persons with disabilities; and be unable to attend without some financial assistance.

Applicants can be approved for up to 2 (two) scholarships per each calendar year.

How to Apply
To apply, please fill out the scholarship application. All application information will be kept confidential. Please allow two weeks for application review.
