Calista Redmond

CEO, RISC-V Foundation

Calista Redmond is the CEO of the RISC-V Foundation with a mission to expand and engage RISC-V stakeholders, compel industry adoption, and increase visibility and opportunity for RISC-V within and beyond the Foundation. Prior to the RISC-V Foundation, Calista held a variety of roles at IBM, including Vice President of IBM Z Ecosystem where she led strategic relationships across software vendors, system integrators, business partners, developer communities, and broader engagement across the industry. Focus areas included execution of commercialization strategies, technical and business support for partners, and matchmaker to opportunities across the IBM Z and LinuxOne community. Calista’s background includes building and leading strategic business models within IBM’s Systems Group through open source initiatives including OpenPOWER, OpenDaylight, and Open Mainframe Project. For OpenPOWER, Calista was a leader in drafting the strategy, cultivating the foundation of partners, and nurturing strategic relationships to grow the org from zero to 300+ members. While at IBM, she also drove numerous acquisition and divestiture missions, and several strategic alliances. Prior to IBM, she was an entrepreneur in four successful start-ups in the IT industry. Calista holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University.

Cheryl Hung

Director of Ecosystem, CNCF

Cheryl Hung is the Director of Ecosystem at the CNCF. Her mission is to increase the adoption of Kubernetes and cloud native by growing the community and advocating for end users. She founded and runs the Cloud Native London meetup. Previously Cheryl spent five years as a C++ engineer on Google Maps, before moving to a storage startup to lead Product and DevOps. She holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge. Cheryl has spoken at many conferences including KubeCon + CloudNativeCon and Red Hat Summit. Dan Cauchy

Kohsuke Kawaguchi

Kohsuke is the creator of Jenkins. He is a well-respected developer and popular speaker at industry and Jenkins community events. He is often asked to speak about his experience and approach in creating Jenkins; a continuous delivery platform that has become a widely adopted and successful community-driven open source project. The principles behind the Jenkins community - extensibility, inclusiveness, low barriers to participation - have been the keys to its success. Kawaguchi’s sensibilities in creating Jenkins and his deep understanding of how to translate its capabilities into usable software have also had a major impact on CloudBees’ strategy as a company. Before joining CloudBees, Kawaguchi was with Sun Microsystems and Oracle, where he worked on a variety of projects and initiated the open source work that led to Jenkins.

Travis Gorkin

Engineering Manager, Uber

Travis Gorkin leads the Special Projects and Platforms team at Uber developing open source tools for data visualization and urban computing. His team builds advanced data visualization products to explore self-driving car, geospatial and business data in the context of urban mobility. In this role, Travis oversees advancement of an ecosystem of open source urban computing projects supporting regulators, policy-makers, researchers, students, 3rd party companies and civic hackers. Travis earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master of Science and Engineering degree in Computer Graphics from University of Pennsylvania.
